Aberdeenshire colour for a quieter room. This Scottish-woven throw carries the classic Gordon tartan — deep green and navy crossed with a single gold line — the sett made famous by Clan Gordon of Huntly and later worn by the Gordon Highlanders.
The cloth is a soft, durable wool blend: warm to wrap in, heavy enough to stay put over a sofa, bed or chair. Traditional fringe finishes each end, so it hangs cleanly rather than looking like a folded sample.
Woven in Scotland for everyday use, it suits a Gordon household, a military or family gift, or anyone who prefers a darker tartan that still reads as unmistakably Scottish. The clan motto is Bydand - steadfast. The throw is built the same way.

My review Isn't based on the quality of the product as i must say the quality is lovely, however my review is based on the customer service. I had accidently ordered the wrong colour as i wanted the dark maple and as that one being the first picture I didn't realize there was a drop down box to select different colours. So upon delivery i emailed as per the returns policy asking if i can send back the one i had received in exchange for the one i wanted. However i sent this email Friday as soon as i received the order and its now end of play on Monday and I've still not received an email to say they are processing my email or have been given options for a refund or exchange, When buying something it would be nice if the returns/exchange was seamless and stress free.
Love the Dark Maple blanket from Heritage of Scotland! Quality is wonderful and comes with info on the origins of the plaid. This one to represent the autumn colours of Canada.
