Woven from a 75% recycled wool / 25% mixed recycled fibre blend, it has the weight and warmth of a traditional Scottish tartan blanket, with recycled fibres instead of virgin wool. Drape it over a sofa or armchair, layer it on a bed, wrap up on a cold evening, or pack it as a travel and picnic rug.
Mackenzie tartan is one of the great Highland hunting setts: deep green and navy, crossed with black, then lifted by slim red and white overchecks. It is the cloth of Clan Mackenzie of Kintail (motto Luceo non uro — I shine, not burn) and one of the easiest tartans to live with — dark enough for everyday interiors, sharp enough to read as proper Scottish heritage. Finished with 7 cm fringes for a classic Highland edge.

My review Isn't based on the quality of the product as i must say the quality is lovely, however my review is based on the customer service. I had accidently ordered the wrong colour as i wanted the dark maple and as that one being the first picture I didn't realize there was a drop down box to select different colours. So upon delivery i emailed as per the returns policy asking if i can send back the one i had received in exchange for the one i wanted. However i sent this email Friday as soon as i received the order and its now end of play on Monday and I've still not received an email to say they are processing my email or have been given options for a refund or exchange, When buying something it would be nice if the returns/exchange was seamless and stress free.
Love the Dark Maple blanket from Heritage of Scotland! Quality is wonderful and comes with info on the origins of the plaid. This one to represent the autumn colours of Canada.
